To strengthen international academic exchanges in the field of deep-sea ecology science and technology and to promote the disciplinary development and research level of deep-sea ecology and monitoring technologies, the “2nd International
Conference for Frontiers in Deep-Sea Ecology Science and Technology”, hosted by Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School, will be held in Shenzhen, China, from October 30th - November 1st , 2026.

The inaugural conference, titled “From Tropics to Poles: Frontiers in Deep-Sea Ecosystem Science and Technology
Forum”, was successfully held on November 6–8, 2024. It featured one main session and four parallel sessions, with a total of 40 presentations (including 5 invited keynote talks), and attracted experts, scholars, and graduate students from around the globe
working in deep-sea ecology, deep-sea technology, deep-sea biology, and related fields.

This 2nd conference will focus on the latest advances and achievements in ecosystem dynamics and monitoring technologies from coastal zones to the twilight zone (mesopelagic zone).

The organizing committee welcomes all the global scholars and students to Shenzhen to discuss on the opportunities, challenges, and future priority research directions in these fields, promote interdisciplinary integration and collaborative innovation between deep-sea ecology and other disciplines, and foster high-level development and cooperation among marine ecologists in China and
around the world. Meanwhile, this conference will be coupled with a forum for young scholars for potential cross-disciplinary collaborations.
